Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

I became interested in becoming a therapist when I was a client in my own personal therapy. I was blessed to have worked with an extraordinarily gifted therapist who led the way on a most remarkable and life altering journey. I could never have imagined a process so deep, profound and transformational. That experience of discovery, insight and AHA moments was fascinating, educational, mind-expanding and deeply healing. I knew that there was nothing else that I could devote my life to that would even come close to being as personally and professionally rewarding as the work of a therapist.

Studies have shown that there are two important factors in determining the success of therapy: 1) the client’s perception of the therapists skills and knowledge and 2) the relationship, or therapeutic alliance, between therapist and client.

Given these critical determinants of outcomes, I offer our first session free of charge. It is important that we both have the freedom of time to get acquainted. I want to answer any questions that you may have as well as spending time getting to know you and why you are seeking therapy. This provides me the opportunity to evaluate whether I am the right therapist for your specific issues and if not, offer you suggestions for finding someone who will have training and expertise specific to your needs.

Oh yes…two more things to know “about” me…I am passionate about gardening and flowers, have studied Ikebana, the art of Japanese Floral design, and am devoted to my 9 year old 11 pound Havanese-Shitzu, Sofie.
